Wine Tasting the Way It Should Be, On the Water

A guided tasting of four premium wines aboard a private sailboat in Coconut Grove, led by a licensed sommelier who makes wine approachable, not intimidating.

Reserve Your Tasting

A Tasting Built by People Who Actually Love Wine

This isn't a tourist wine hour. WineVoyage grew out of WCI, a private-label wine company rooted in Argentina's wine world, built on the idea that wine should never come with snobbery or gatekeeping. That same philosophy guides every tasting on the water: four wines, poured and explained by a real sommelier, with room to ask questions, compare notes and actually learn something — with Miami as the backdrop.

What You'll Actually Taste and Learn

Each sail includes a guided tasting of four hand-picked international wines, paired with a gourmet cheese and charcuterie board. Your sommelier introduces every pour — where it comes from, what makes it distinct, what to notice in the glass — at a pace that works whether you are a longtime collector or just getting into wine. No rush, no formalities, and no wrong questions. It is a conversation rather than a lecture: expect to be asked what you are picking up, to compare two glasses against each other, and to enjoy yourself doing it.

Wine lists and specific selections are available on request before you sail.

If a wine is unavailable, our sommelier team replaces it with a comparable or superior bottle of the same style and region, and tells you in advance. Looking for something that is not on the list? Special requests within the Icon tier are welcome, subject to availability and lead time.

The Icon upgrade is $1,200 for a four-wine selection, for the whole group. It is bought after you book — your confirmation email links to it — and you choose your four as you buy it, or leave it to your sommelier.

Where the Wines Come From

Between the two lists, the cellar reaches into most of the places that matter. Old World heritage and New World craftsmanship, as our sommeliers put it — and a fair amount of Argentina, for reasons the wine story below explains.

Good to Know

Not at all — the whole point is to make wine approachable. Our sommeliers adjust the depth of what they share based on your group's interest, so the same sail works for a first-time taster and a longtime collector.

Each sail pours a hand-picked flight of four international premium wines, selected by our sommelier for quality, balance and approachability. Wine lists and specific selections are available on request.

On the base rate your sommelier carefully selects the flight for each experience. If you want full control of what gets poured, the Gold package (+$700) and Icon (+$1,200) let you choose your wines from that package's list — Icon sitting above Gold. Both are bought after you book, from the link in your confirmation email, and wine packages are available on private charters only — shared sails pour the sommelier's selection. You pick your four wines as you buy the package, or leave it and your sommelier will build the flight.

Yes. If something on the flight stands out, you can buy bottles of it after the sail — just tell your sommelier while you are still on the water.

Private charters run three hours, departing from Pier 6 at Dinner Key Marina, 3400 Pan American Drive, Coconut Grove.

Casual and comfortable. Flat or soft-soled shoes are best on deck.

We monitor conditions closely and will reach out to reschedule if needed — your date isn't lost.
